LABORATORY AND OFFICE FIT OUT MAKES FOR A HAPPY ELECTRON

Happy electron is an energy innovation startup that is creating next-generation energy technology for electric cars. The project's major goal was to build a high-technology laboratory and a sustainable office for the team of scientists and management team in London.

The large industrial estate unit in West London was chosen for this project and converted into a 2-story facility with a lab, bespoke kitchen, and cafeteria space on the ground level and a modish office on the mezzanine level.

The upper floor was chosen for an ecologically friendly workplace design, which was accomplished by utilising LED light bulbs, which consume much less energy, as well as by locating environmentally-friendly furniture and including a substantial portion of greenery in the office. Smart heating and cooling systems also contributed significantly to energy savings.
